Default Matrix

I would like a chime on the keypad. Is that to much to ask!
Yes we do stick IR panels in for homes.

On a serious note MORE MEMORY F Me but IR a cheapskates on memory.
Give us MORE PLEASE and don't hold the onion.
SD Memory would also be good for customer data and firmware.
Ethernet off the get go
IP reporting off the get go
Webbased Programming would that be Good
Do not make type 1 or type 2 make up your mind NOW and stick to it, I dont know how many times I have gone to plug something in only to find out its the wrong type.

A new keypad would be good, Scramble Code pad, Alienware Keys, IP Video Camera Display. And did I mention a ding dong chime?

The wish list for me, i think better memory capabilities will open up the remaining problems with Lack of options User Types, Expandability etc.

I love IR panels over any others and often have verbal arguments with other techs and colleagues and IR always comes out on top.

I eagerly wait the Matrix, loved the whole soliloquy so look forward to being part of the Beta testing team. Will now go out the mailbox and wait for my Package from IR to be delivered.

Default Power

Power .... I can't tell you how many problems I find caused by (poor maint.) batteries! ALL modules need to support dynamic battery testing out of the box not having to wire up AC fail and low bat outputs to ZONES make them system inputs and connecting the PS down line back to an Aux and programming a DIY battery test. What about batteries that short and pull down the PSU can you isolate a faulty battery so it will not pull the module down

When you say "shunt" an input, is this a timed isolate or does it mean something completely different?

A timed isolate or perhaps follow the state of another input. EG A roller door in a car park that has an rsc on the door and a vehicle loop to permit afterhours exit from the carpark ... the loop triggers a timer that "Shunts" the rsc for say 90 seconds this allows the door to open, the vehicle to exit and the door to close again a second vehicle following behind would restart the timer.

Simply Toggle your Process Group for this Input.

· three ethernet: one for lan, one for programing, one for reporting
· two ethernet on modules: one for lan, one for programing
· IP Keypad PoE with card reader
· backwards capability with the 4000 modules
· flash firmware!!!
· have the panel and modules do auto firmware updates
· ethernet on the side or bottom of keypad for programing
· ip intercom modules
· ethernet PIR, beams, card readers, etc...
· the ablity for control panel to communicate to multiple, for user list and user type
· or to save memory space on the panel maybe a cloud server user database or even have a cloud server for programming back up
· if the lan is rs485 then have built in lan isolators to all modules like the protege and 2, 3, and 4 wire lans
· all modules din mount like the Paradox imperial and plug in expansion like PLC's
· all certified techs should be issued with a unique installer card and code that allows them to program the system, the matrix would look up a inner range database of certified techs and allow access
cheers
